Artist's Description

Image was shot at Santa Elena Canyon, Big Bend National Park, Texas in 2024. Steep rocky cliffs rise sharply on either side of a calm river, whose waters reflect the rugged landscape and blue sky above. A small islet with shrubs and grasses is centered in the river, basking in the sunlight that filters down through the canyon.
