Description
Image was taken at Goblin Valley State Park, Utah in 2009. This relatively small state park was a real surprise. It is composed of small and large red sandstone formations, some in the shape of animals, some in the shape of mushrooms, and some in the shape of goblins. It would be a great place for a families with children as you are permitted to climb in, around, and on the formations. It is also a wonderful place for photographers especially in the winter with snow on the ground. If you walk around the park, you will also find weather carved formations that look like homes of the smurfs, the Flintstones, or possibly valley goblins.
